Practical Advice From Someone Who Has Done the Work
MTS Guide is a home repair and appliance guide for Pakistani homes. It covers the things that actually go wrong in our houses: geysers that won’t light in winter, ACs that trip in June, electricity bills that suddenly double, leaking pipes, weak water pressure and UPS systems that don’t last through load shedding.
Every guide is written to answer three simple questions: What is the problem? Can I fix it myself safely? And if not, what should it cost?
Who Writes MTS Guide
MTS Guide is written by Husnain Ali, a home maintenance technician with 10 years of hands-on experience repairing geysers, air conditioners, electrical wiring and plumbing in homes across Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
MTS (Muhammad Technical Services) started as a home repair service. Over the years, the same questions came up again and again from customers: why does my geyser keep going out, is inverter AC really worth it, why did the technician charge so much for gas? Many people were paying for repairs they didn’t need simply because nobody had explained the problem to them.
Today, MTS no longer provides repair services. Instead, this site shares that field experience openly, so that any homeowner in Pakistan can understand their appliances, handle small problems themselves, and know what a fair price looks like when they do need a technician.

How We Write Our Guides
- Based on real work. Advice comes from faults seen and fixed in real Pakistani homes, with local brands, local water and local gas and power conditions in mind.
- Prices are market ranges. Repair costs and product prices are typical ranges for the Islamabad/Rawalpindi market and are reviewed and updated each year. Prices in your city may differ.
- Safety first. Every guide clearly separates what you can safely check yourself from work that needs a qualified technician, especially anything involving gas or electricity.
- No paid recommendations. We don’t take money from brands to recommend their products. This site is supported by display advertising.
- Corrections are welcome. If you find a mistake or an outdated price, please tell us and we will fix it.
Important Note
The guides on this site are for general information and education. Gas, electrical and pressurised water systems can be dangerous. If you are not confident, or if you smell gas, see sparks or feel a shock, stop and contact a qualified technician or your gas or electricity company.
